Survivor Week

  • The Alaska Project 8400 North Russet Road Palmer, AK, 99645 United States (map)

The rugged beauty of the Alaskan wilderness serves as a perfect backdrop for healing and reflection. Survivor Week is a safe haven for the families of our fallen who have endured unimaginable hardships and grief. Through shared stories around the campfire, nature hikes, and teamwork during building projects, unbreakable bonds are formed.

As The Alaska Project continues to grow, we are proud to announce that this year we will once again be expanding our recipient base for our "Young Adult Survivor Week". This week is a veteran-led mentor-based retreat focused on honoring and remembering those we lost, while building skills and relationships for a bright future.

If you are a young adult (approximately 17-25 years old) who has lost a service member parent and wish to join us, please submit your application to: AKproject@the98fund.org by Thursday, February 15th, 2024.

We always need volunteers to help support our surviving families and on-site staff. Please register below if you are interested in joining us as a volunteer during survivor week.
