The Alaska Project Summer 2024 Kickoff

May 17-19th kicked off The Alaska Project - 2024 with our "Opening Weekend" to start preparing the property for a busy summer! Twenty one volunteers from around the area (with a few coming up from Seattle) helped open up the kitchen and cabins, de-winterize the systems, clean, and set the conditions for construction which begins in just a few days! We could not do ANY of this without the amazing volunteers who are committed to our purpose - thank you! The Wotring's, Tetreault's, DeRocchi's Ferguson's, Harsh's, Parks', Boucher's, Zach The Electrician, Nowicki's, Wong's, and the local EOD crew from JBER out here making a difference!

With summer just around the corner, our team is gearing up for a season filled with meaningful events and impactful projects aimed at serving our community. Check out our events page to see what the summer has in store, and how you can get involved.

One of the highlights of our summer calendar will be our annual Memorial Day Ceremony, Flag Raising and Picnic on May 26th. Come out to see the property, enjoy the camaraderie of people brought together with purpose as we honor fallen veterans and their families. 

As we reflect on the success of our "Opening Weekend" and look ahead to the excitement of the summer months, we're filled with gratitude for the incredible volunteers, supporters, and partners who make it all possible.
