Colonel (COL) Stacy M. Tomic is a 1998 graduate of United States Military Academy. She was commissioned as a Transportation Officer upon graduation and later a Logistics Officer upon graduation from the Logistics Captains Career Course.
COL Tomic’s previous non-command assignments include service as a Maintenance Platoon Leader and Brigade Movement Officer in the 4th ID; 2d Transportation Company XO at FT Carson, CO; G4 Plans Officer, 8th Army at Yongsan, Korea; Battalion S1 and S3 Operations Officer in the 7th Transportation Group at FT Eustis, VA (including Operation Iraqi Freedom deployment to Camp Arifjan, Kuwait); Army Materiel Command Brigade Logistics Support Team Chief for the 3d Armored Cavalry Regiment (including Operation New Dawn deployment at COS Kalsu, Iraq) and AFSBn XO at FT Hood, TX; Joint Staff J39 and J33 Action Officer at the Pentagon; 1st Cavalry Division Sustainment Brigade Deputy Commanding Officer; the TAAC-S CJ4 at Kandahar, Afghanistan; and the 1st Cavalry Division Deputy Chief of Staff, and later, Chief of Staff.
COL Tomic’s command assignments include: 19 months as Commander, 169th Transportation Company, 24th Transportation Battalion, 7th Transportation Group, FT Eustis, VA; and 24 months as Commander, 832d Transportation Battalion (SDDC) at FT Eustis, VA (overseeing port operations at Jacksonville and Cape Canaveral, FL as well as Puerto Rico), which included a deployment to Puerto Rico in support of Hurricane Maria Recovery efforts in 2017.
COL Tomic is currently serving as a Faculty Instructor at the US Army War College at Carlisle Barracks, PA.
